A veces cuando llevo la placa de médico, como en las películas de Hollywood donde en los interrogatorios existe la figura del poli bueno y poli malo, a mi también me toca representar el papel de malo.
En ocasiones mi plató se llena de pacientes policonsultadores, de espíritu hipocondriaco, amantes de las cuatro paredes del consultorio, con un perenne pensamiento que les atormenta y aleja de la realidad, un ¿no me pasará algo? gobierna su día. Hacen de una segunda opinión su obsesión y acuden a urgencias buscando una respuesta que les de la razón para poder justificar la supuesta falta de atención de su médico de familia. Son capaces de cambiar el título de mi película y transformar el Centro de Urgencias en un «abierto 24 horas, no importa la hora ni el motivo, estamos para escucharles».
Recuerdo con nostalgia los guiones de consulta en atención primaria, como mis palabras atravesaban como balas sus argumentos, con negativas que parecían escritas en mi mesa como graffitis en un muro.
– No necesita más pruebas.
– No precisa interconsulta con otro especialista.
– No le puedo recetar más, ya se llevó su tratamiento crónico.
– No le prescribo antibióticos, es un cuadro viral.
– No le vuelvo a hacer recetas de medicamentos si los saca de la farmacia sin prescripción facultativa.
– No le puedo recetar como pensionista si no lo es.
– Y por supuesto, no insista, no le puedo hacer recetas para su perro.
Me doy cuenta que no se puede escapar de nuestros demonios y en urgencias me toca repetir alguna negativa, adaptando mi guion al contexto.
– Esto no es una urgencia.
– ¿Por qué no fue a su médico de familia?
– Si lo tiene desde hace meses, puede pedir cita en su centro de salud.
– No le puedo pinchar nada para quitarle un catarro.
– No puede venir en la madrugada a hacerse una cura porque no tuvo tiempo durante el día.
Pues definitivamente, a veces me toca ser el malo de la película, el que le dice a los pacientes lo que no quieren oír, aquel que crea unfollowers en twitter y disminuye las listas de espera en consulta. Y lo reivindico porque quien quiera caer bien a todo el mundo mejor que se dedique a la política donde una sonrisa forzada y palabras escritas por un guionista en tercera persona son más valiosas que la verdad.
Sin lugar a dudas no es fácil interpretar este papel, lo sencillo es ceder en todo y despachar satisfecho al usuario, pero a veces me toca sacar mandíbula, teñirme el pelo y ser el Javier Bardem de 007.
Espero no terminar como él en la película, y poder seguir disfrutando de este cine.

If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of «neighbors» will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune «Social» is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. Nevertheless imagine if you added some great photos or video clips to give your posts more, «pop»! Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
