Pasamos las horas compartiendo información, pegados al facebook, twitter, snapchat, instagram y muchas más. Ya forman parte de nuestra rutina diaria.
Pero hay que saber ponerle un límite.
Es curioso ver que un paciente acude a un servicio de urgencias porque se hizo una herida y una de sus mayores preocupaciones sea hacerse una foto antes de que le suturen, para poder así compartirla con sus amistades.
Antes de terminar la sutura ya recibió varios me gusta en sus respectivas cuentas y alguna que otra carita amarilla de preocupación.
Esto no va bien, realmente ¿es necesario?.
Ir pegado al móvil es un factor de riesgo para sufrir un accidente, hay gente que va buscando pokemon y termina encontrando 3 semanas de escayola.
Y que decir de los selfies, hay personas que tienen una verdadera obsesión por ellos, se regocijan contemplando su foto y desperdiciando la realidad. Lamentablemente a más de uno, conseguir un gran selfie ya le costó algo más que una foto.
Nosotros los profesionales tampoco nos quedamos cortos, algunos en ocasiones traspasan no sólo la frontera de la ética sino también de la legalidad.
Vivimos una época de pocos libros y muchos smartphones, en España somos campeones en este tipo de dispositivos, y es que si la economía se midiera por el porcentaje de teléfonos móviles inteligentes por habitantes, ocuparíamos uno de los primeros puestos en el ranking.
He de confesar que yo también soy un adicto a la social media, la considero necesaria para estar conectado con la actualidad, pero hay que saber que la vida se vive offline y que lamentablemente, de momento solo tenemos una y estamos obligados a disfrutarla.
