Creo que en la cadena deben brillar todos los eslabones, si alguno falla se merma la calidad asistencial, y repercute en nuestros pacientes.
Imagino a mi Servicio de Urgencias Extrahospitalarias en Archena (Murcia), como un equipo donde cada profesional contribuye desde su puesto de trabajo a garantizar una asistencia de calidad, dejando atrás la verticalidad y trabajando de manera transversal, cada uno con su función establecida tocando al unísono un mismo balón, actualizados y comprometidos con este juego.
Si no cumplimos con nuestra función, el entrenador debe solucionarlo o se romperá la armonía. Lamentablemente el silencio me recuerda que hace tiempo que no corre el balón por los pasillos. Da la impresión que el mayor enemigo de la sanidad pública lo tenemos en casa, en las alturas y a ras del suelo. En ocasiones la ley del mínimo esfuerzo se cumple a raja tabla y la incompetencia descansa a sus anchas en este sistema, amparado por una indiferencia disfrazada de presbicia.
Cuando un equipo de fútbol no cumple sus objetivos el primero en caer siempre es el entrenador, luego el director deportivo y presidente, parece que esta liga es diferente, aquí preferimos quitar jugadores del equipo, recortar servicios y beneficios, sin que nadie se responsabilice de su gestión, los despachos son un hábitat demasiado cómodo para solucionar problemas.
Entiendo que los profesionales de urgencias o del centro de salud deben jugar en equipo y quién piense que el Dr. Cristiano Ronaldo puede ganar algo sólo, está equivocado. Estamos llenos de elefantes que parece que eligieron un lugar donde morir plácidamente dentro del sistema, una epidemia peligrosamente contagiosa. Somos responsables de la salud de nuestros pacientes, de los enfermos y de los sanos, debemos estar capacitados, formados y actualizados para ese fin. Que pena que una palabra tan extraordinaria como «Motivación» fuera desterrada hace ya algunas lunas del vocabulario de algunos compañer@s de camino.
Hace poco leí que una frase de Tom Peters que reproduzco «Los líderes no hacen seguidores, ellos hacen más líderes», difícil extrapolarla al universo Twitter donde los seguidores marcan la moda, reconducida en ocasiones desde las alturas de la blogosfera con aires de exclusivo WhatsApp entre amigos.
En estos días vestidos de buenos propósitos, de planes y samaritanos objetivos, de trofeos, dardos y medallas, es la oportunidad perfecta para reivindicar que este 2014 comencemos el cambio. Tenemos los pantalones rotos por las rodillas, es hora de ponerse en pie y reivindicar una Gestión, Administración y Dirección de calidad acorde con los tiempos en los que vivimos.
Es el momento de reorganizar el servicio y formar un equipo capaz de ganar un liga, tal vez haya que fichar a profesionales comprometidos de otras unidades con ganas de hacer lo que no nos dan y trabajar por lo que no nos pagan o una comunidad virtual con ganas de luchar contra tanta desidia.
No permitamos que descienda la Sanidad Pública, cuidemos a los buenos jugadores o terminarán marchándose a otras ligas.
